Discovery call question set
The questions that reveal whether they'll actually buy.
Updated Jul 26, 2026
I'm selling product to role at type of company, and I have length for a first call.
Give me a question set in four groups: understanding their current situation, finding the cost of leaving it unchanged, uncovering who else decides, and testing whether the timing is real. Under each, order the questions so an easy one comes before a sensitive one.
Mark the three questions that most often reveal a deal isn't real. Add two questions I should *not* ask on a first call, and why.
